Free Self Guided Golden Historic Walking Tour

Golden History Park is across Clear Creek from the Golden History Center View original buildings from the Pearce Ranch in Golden Gate Canyon where Thomas and Henrietta Pearce raised eight children on their ranch, one of the largest in the area by 1912. Stroll through this park and imagine yourself growing potatoes or raising chickens as part of a homesteading family.

It’s also a favorite spot for local photographers to shoot family photos. Book a session while you’re here—it couldn’t be easier.

Inner Tubes Available at House

In Downtown Golden's 12th Street Historic District, the Golden Guest House is located on the southern banks of Clear Creek. Kayakers, inner tubers, and rafters parade up and down the creek all summer long, providing endless entertainment just across the street.

 

I am now providing inner tubes for guests to use free of charge. I provide some life vests for adults and kids, but if I don't have the right size, you can rent one from Adventure West or Golden River Sports. Before you can use the inner tubers, you must sign a waiver and give it to Laura via the tiny house mail box before you leave.

 

Kayaks, paddle boards, inner tubes, and other inflatable devices are available nearby:
